Viola da gamba / Violone

He was born in Vigo (Spain). After studying classic guitar and graduating on Art History, he begins to study viola da gamba with Ventura Rico and continued his studies in viola da gamba with Marianne Muller at the Conservatoire National de Musique in Lyon (France).

He was a founder member of L’Assemblée des Honnestes Curieux with whom he has awarded the first prize at the Premio Rovereto in 1998. He has played worldwide at important festivals like Sablé, Urbino, Boston, Innsbruck, Regensburg...

He has recorded for Harmonia Mundi, Zig-Zag Territoires, Opus 111-Naïve and Mirare, participating in CDs that has been awarded the best international critics (Diapason d'Or de l'année, Editor's Choice, Choc de Classica de l'année). He has also recorded for some radio broadcasting stations as Radio France, WDR, Polish Radio, SWR, ORF...
He teaches at the Vigo Conservatory
