Violin

Domitille Gilon studied the violin with Christophe Poiget in violin, and Zoltan Toth in string quartet at the "Conservatoire National et Supérieur de Musique" of Lyon.

Domitille is actually member of the "Orchestre National D'Ile-de-France" since 2008. She is also interested in baroque music and is the founder of the Ensemble Stravaganza with the harpsichordist Thomas Soltani. With her group, she won in October 2011 the third prize and the prize of the critics and medias at the International Chamber Music Competition Premio Bonporti (Italy), and also the special prize ''De Graaf Unico van Wassenaer award'' at the van Wassenaer Early Music Competition in Amsterdam (Netherlands). She was awarded bronze medal by the "Académie Arts Sciences et Lettres" in 2010 (Paris). Recently, she was awarded during the H.I.F. Biber competition, with Stravaganza (F.J. Aumann Prize).

Domitille Gilon plays very often with the main baroque orchestras such as Gli Incogniti (A. Beyer), Les Ambassadeurs (A. Kossenko), Pulcinella (O. Gaillard), Pygmalion (R. Pichon), Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien (F. Lazarevich)….
