Viola / Violin
Marta Páramo was born in Bogotá (Colombia) and studied the baroque viola with Rachel Podger and Katherine McGillivray at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Since settling in France in 2002 she has enjoyed influential artistic encounters with Skip Sempé, Kenneth Weiss and Amandine Beyer, and taken part in performances conducted by Christophe Rousset, Paul McCreesh, Rinaldo Alessandrini and Philippe Herreweghe, among others. She now plays with several baroque ensembles, including Le Banquet Céleste, Capriccio Stravagante, Pygmalion, Le Concert d’Astrée and of course Gli Incogniti, in prestigious halls and festivals in Europa, America and Asia.
Marta Páramo has recorded for Harmonia Mundi, Zig-Zag-Territoires, Erato, Virgin and Eloquentia.
