Harpsichord
Graduated from the CNSM of Paris in 1994 (1st prizes with unanimous recognition in harpsichord and basso continuo) and from the 1st prize of the Harpsichord International Competition of Montreal in 1999, Violaine Cochard shares her time with activities of soloist, “chef de chant” and music chamber. She collaborates with various baroque ensembles as Gli Incogniti and performs in Latin America, USA, Canada, Japan, India, China and Turkey.
Violaine Cochard recorded about thirty albums for different labels from which four are solo albums dedicated to pieces of Couperin, JS Bach and Duphly.
She also likes collaborating with musicians from different styles as the jazz pianist Edouard Ferlet or the group Tram des Balkans.
