Marta Páramo

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Marta Páramo studied viola at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, in the classes of Rachel Podger and Catherine McGillivray. Based in France since 2002, she has had pivotal and influential encounters with Skip Sempé, Kenneth Weiss, and Amandine Beyer, and has participated in productions conducted by Christophe Rousset, Paul McCreesh, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Philippe Herrewheghe, and others. She performs with several Baroque ensembles: Le Banquet Céleste, Capriccio Stravagante, Pygmalion, Le Concert d'Astrée, and of course Gli Incogniti, in concerts throughout Europe, America, and Asia. Marta Páramo has recorded for Harmonia Mundi, Zig-Zag-Territoires Erato, Virgin, and Eloquentia.
