Born in Rome in 1976, Rebeca Ferri graduated in cello from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in 1998, studying with M. Gambini. She also studied recorder there with A. Carideo and M. De Martini.
From 1995, Rebeca furthered her studies in baroque cello and ensemble music with A. Bylsma, G. Darmstadt, R. Dieltiens, B. Maté, S. Veggetti, J. Christensen, R. Goebel, and J. Savall.
In 2003, she graduated from the Würzburg University of Music with J. ter Linden, and in 2007 from the Munich University of Music and Theater with K. von der Goltz, both specializing in baroque cello. Rebeca collaborates with numerous ensembles such as I Turchini, Gli Incogniti, A l'Antica, Academia Montis Regalis, Soavi Affetti, Accademia Ottoboni, Ensemble Baroque du Léman, Concerto Romeno, Arte Musica,
La Selva, Camerata Artemisia, Ensemble 1800, Main-Barockorchester. She also records for OPUS 111, Glossa, Tactus, Carus, Amadeus, Eloquentia, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, and Zig-Zag-Territoires.
Rebeca plays a cello by André Mehler (Leipzig 2011) after Martinus Kaiser (Venezia 1679) and an anonymous English cello from the 18th century.
