Teatro alla moda

1720: In his famous pamphlet entitled "Il teatro alla moda," the composer B. Marcello satirizes the excesses of Venetian opera: cadences, variations, diva-like behavior, virtuosity, popular dances, and various sound effects. Three centuries later, each of the criticized "excesses" forms the basis of inspiration for this new work by Gli Incogniti, to the greater glory of Vivaldi.

Télérama | Sophie Bourdais

«There is action, plot twists, the Romance (the solitary Andante from the Concerto in B-flat major)... All of it brilliantly executed, played with heart and spirit by generous musicians, among whom the lyrical and virtuosic violin of Amandine Beyer shines majestically. In fact, as the libretto invites us, each person can create their own drama from these intensely expressive and evocative concertos. »
